First Reported Friction Along the Ashgirt Border

The first Wire-reported friction along what would come to be called the Ashgirt Border arrived within a cycle of the frontier’s formal opening, when Long Reach Ministry settlement teams working the frontier’s outer edge reported contact with claimants identifying as Ashgirt Remnant. The Ministry’s initial characterization — “incidental contact, no territorial claim recognized” — set the pattern that has held ever since: incidents are logged, never formally escalated to a declared dispute.

This entry marks the opening of the Ashgirt Border Dispute storyline, which remains, as of the most recent Wire coverage, in the same low-grade, dormant-but-unresolved state it began in.
