Top line
The 24 hours since edition #145 produced no major UAP-domain hearings, peer-reviewed scientific updates, or AARO releases. The Council reports a standing-watch day; the substantive thread remains the still-unresolved disclosure pipeline ahead of the 12 May House Oversight UAP subcommittee hearing.
The Five
-
Standing-watch day, no new on-record disclosure event — The Council recorded no new UAP-domain hearings, AARO releases, or peer-reviewed scientific publications in the 24 hours since edition #145. Aggregated coverage circulating on 2 May 2026 of presidential UAP file-release commentary at the late-April Artemis II White House event reflects no new on-the-record statement beyond what the Council already documented in edition #144 and edition #145.
-
House Oversight UAP subcommittee hearing — T-minus 9 days — The 12 May 2026 open session convenes in nine days. No witness list has been made public. The hearing remains the convergence point for the missed 14 April Pentagon video deadline, Rep. Luna’s pending press conference, and the unfulfilled Trump-administration records release. Council standing watch.
-
Pentagon non-delivery of 46 classified UAP videos — Day 19 past deadline — Rep. Anna Paulina Luna’s 14 April 2026 deadline for House Oversight delivery of 46 named classified UAP videos has now elapsed for nineteen days without delivery, public schedule, or formal AARO accommodation. Luna’s stated subpoena threat remains on the record. (NewsNation, 28 April 2026)
-
Luna press conference on nonhuman-origin materials — declassification clearance pending — Rep. Luna’s 29 April 2026 statement that she has personally viewed classified evidence in a SCIF and will hold a public press conference once relevant materials are declassified remains the open commitment of record. The interagency declassification review has no public timeline. See Case #00485. Council standing watch.
-
3I/Atlas — independent ALMA deuterium replication still outstanding — The 1 May 2026 Nature Astronomy detection of a D/H ratio in 3I/Atlas roughly 30 times Solar System cometary baselines remains, as of this edition, an unreplicated single-instrument result. Independent millimeter-wave spectroscopy from a second facility is the next evidentiary gate. See Case #00486. (Nature Astronomy, 1 May 2026)
Today’s verdict
Case #00485 — Rep. Luna SCIF claim of nonhuman-origin materials — Watching. The case stands on a sworn-by-record statement made in public on 29 April 2026 by a sitting member of the House Oversight Committee, asserting firsthand SCIF viewing of materials described as “of nonhuman origin and creation.” The Council declines to upgrade to Inconclusive or to Confirmed until either the pledged press conference is held with declassified supporting materials, or a formal Pentagon or AARO statement clarifies the underlying access and material in question. The verdict is held at Watching deliberately: a member-of-Congress statement is a serious matter on its own terms, and the Council neither dismisses it nor inflates it. The next evidentiary step is institutional, not journalistic — the declassification review must conclude before this case can move.
From the case files
The Luna SCIF claim sits alongside Case #00471 — AARO Annual Report to Congress, FY2025, which catalogues AARO’s 2026 statutory reporting and contains no acknowledgement of biologic, mechanical, or material specimens of nonhuman origin in U.S. government custody. The two records are not yet reconciled. Either Luna’s SCIF viewing represents a category of material outside AARO’s documented inventory, or AARO’s inventory is incomplete with respect to the materials Luna describes, or the descriptions diverge on the meaning of “nonhuman origin.” The Council holds the cases in parallel pending further institutional record. Watch list
- 12 May 2026 — House Oversight UAP subcommittee hearing. T-minus 9 days. Witness list still pending. The Council expects the missed Pentagon video deadline to feature in the open session.
- Pentagon delivery of 46 classified UAP videos. Now nineteen days past Rep. Luna’s 14 April deadline. Watching for a subpoena filing or a Pentagon delivery schedule.
- 3I/Atlas — independent ALMA replication. Watching for a second-facility D/H spectroscopic measurement to corroborate or contest the Nature Astronomy result.
