The Five
- 3I/Atlas remains under photometric watch. No new measurements public since the 23 April brightening event documented in Case #00482. Spectroscopic follow-up requested; nothing yet returned to the Minor Planet Center observation log.
- AARO FY2025 Annual Report is in the public-comment window. The 9 April release continues to circulate among Senate staff. The Council awaits committee response language before re-scoring associated cases.
- Brazilian “Night of UFOs” radar tapes released on 18 March remain in independent review. No analytical revisions to Case-set #00114 are warranted at this time.
- House Oversight UAP subcommittee convenes 12 May. T-minus 15 days. Witness list not yet public.
- Senate Intelligence Committee has issued no follow-up since the 22 April open hearing. The Council notes the silence and continues to watch.
Today’s verdict
The Council reissues no verdict today. The most recent active inquiry, Case #00482 — 3I/Atlas anomalous brightening event of 23 April 2026, remains Watching. A revision will be entered when spectroscopy or non-gravitational acceleration data become public.
